Your first presentation

This tutorial builds a short six-slide presentation. Each step shows the Markdown to write and the result rendered with the DWA theme. The content is illustrative.

Start with a bilan.md file in a folder opened in VS Code, with the theme configured (see Get started).

1. The cover

md
<!-- _class: title color-2 branded -->

# Quarterly review

## What we learned

Project team · October

title is the cover layout. color-2 selects the dark palette with an orange accent, branded adds the signature at the top right. Place this block right after the marp: true / theme: DWA header.

2. The table of contents

Type --- after an empty line, then Tab, and choose toc.

md
<!-- _class: toc with-title -->

# Contents

1. The context
2. What we did
3. Next steps

3. A chapter

md
<!-- _class: chapter color-1 -->

# 01

## The context

The chapter expects a number (#) and a title (##). Its backgrounds are chosen automatically based on the palette.

4. A comparison in columns

md
<!-- _class: content cols-2 cards with-title medium -->

# Two options considered

> ## Build
>
> A custom solution.
>
> - Full control
> - Longer lead time

<!-- -->

> ## Buy
>
> An off-the-shelf solution.
>
> - Quick start
> - Limited customization

Each > block is a group; the empty comment <!-- --> separates two consecutive groups. cards styles them, medium slightly reduces the text size.

5. The key message

md
<!-- _class: callout color-3 -->

# Start small, measure, then expand.

A callout holds a single sentence. With a local browser, the extension automatically picks the largest size that fits and adds a callout-size-N class (see Overflow and callouts).

6. The closing

md
<!-- _class: closing color-2 branded -->

# Thank you
